THE PROCESS
Discovery (Call)
Before we talk about colors or shapes, we talk about the soul I approach this phase as a detective, not an artist. We dig into your mission, your history, and your competitive landscape to find the core "Why" that most brands ignore. I’m not looking for what you do, not yet. At this stage? I’m looking for the soul of the business, and that is to ground every creative decision in data and strategy, not personal bias.
Defining the Battlefield
A brand that tries to be everything to everyone ends up being nothing to anyone. We define your unique territory in the market. How do you stand out? What emotional promise are you making? We align your brand with a narrative that makes your competition irrelevant. This is to ensure your brand commands a specific space in your audience’s mind.
The Hidden Language
Great logos whisper to the subconscious. Here, we strategize the symbols and metaphors that encapsulate your essence. It’s about more than "looking cool" or "making it pop", it’s about cultural context and layered meaning. We find the "arrow" in your FedEx, the "31" in your Baskin-Robbins, the hidden logic that gives the mark its depth.
Controlled Chaos
This is where quantity meets strategy. We explore hundreds of visual metaphors, forcing associations and breaking boundaries. At this point, we're not looking for the first "good" idea, we're looking for the right idea, the one that feels less "designed" and more "discovered."
The Art of Stripping Away
Simplicity is earned. We take the best concepts and begin a process of radical elimination. We strip away the superfluous until only the bare essential truth remains. If a mark doesn't work in black and white, or at the size of a postage stamp, it isn't finished.
Relentless Refinement
The difference between "good" and "iconic" is in the last 5%. I obsess over the micro-details: the curve of a corner, the weight of a stroke, the optical balance of a symbol. This is where we move from a sketch to a vector-perfect asset, in order to achieve flawless execution that stands up to the closest scrutiny.
The Stress Test
A logo doesn't live in a vacuum. It lives on billboards, icons, embroidered shirts, tote bags (sometimes) and moving screens. I stress-test the mark in real-world scenarios to ensure it remains legible, versatile, and robust, no matter where it’s placed.
The Logic of the Logo
I'm not the kind to present "options" for you to pick from based on a whim. I present a solution grounded in logic. Every curve and color is backed by the research we did all the way back in Phase 1. I provide the narrative and the guidelines you'll be needing to use your brand with confidence.
Thinking in Decades
A logo is just the beginning. From here we build your brand as an extensible system, a kit of parts that can grow, evolve, and adapt as your business scales. We think about sub-brands, motion, and future applications to ensure your investment is protected for years to come.
"Design is the silent ambassador of your brand."
